I Just Realized....

There are a million ideas and thoughts running through my mind right now. And as much as I would love to share everyone of them, well let's face it its already past midnight. I just wanted to share a little bit of inspiration that I have gained over the last several days. So here are 5 things I have come to realize this week and they are not in any particular order....

1) God never ceases to amaze me - He places the right people at the right place at the right time. Okay this is simple right yeah well did I mention that its all in His timing and places and they don't always align with what I thought it would be like.

2) Chasing dreams doesn't have to be like chasing a fly - When God has called you to do something He has already prepared and equipped you. I love the saying "He doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called"

3) Disciple although is painful is often enjoyable  - there is nothing I like more than a humbling experience...okay so that's not completely true. However God has used so many things in the last few weeks to humble and discipline me. I used to think discipline was bad but it really isn't that bad. It's painful at the time but the growth that comes from it can not be put into words.

4) Sometimes I treat God like I do my earthly parents - Hello I am smarter than them aren't I?! NO as I get older I realize how smart and how much wisdom my parents have just as I grow in my relationship with God I realize more and more each day that He truly has my best interest at heart and um HELLO HE MADE ME....pretty sure I should trust the One who holds the owners manual.

5) Each day I begin to realize how blessed I really am and I am so thankful for God's mercy and love. He is a God of 2nd, 3rd and many more chances. Although He gives me chance after chance I never want to get to that day that I didn't get another chance therefore I choose to live a life according to His will.

God continue to mould me, although at times the growing pains hurt it will all be worth it in the end to sit at your feet and worship you for all eternity.

C.S Lewis "You are NEVER  too old to set another goal , or to dream a new dream ." There is a part of my counselor brain that lights up when I read this quote. In therapy we have our clients set goals as a part of their treatment plan. The therapist and client work together on developing the goals. The therapist then walks along side the client as they make strides to get from point A to point B. I'm a Perfectly, Imperfect Mom

At time's I've been known to be a neat freak. Although I don't think my mother would agree. There were always arguments growing up between my sister and I of whose clothing or belongings were on the floor in the room or who made the mess in the bedroom we shared. We have since laughed about this and I still often say "Cristina is the messy one". She is a mom who goes to bed with dirty dishes in the sink, laundry coming out of the baskets, unmade beds etc. And as a single young adult there was part of me that didn't understand this. You see I have some OCD tendencies that I think are learned behaviors. I struggle to go to bed at night without making sure all the dishes are in the dish washer or are clean. I try but often fail to make sure the house is picked up and I use to be able to clean my entire house in just a few hours so never really understood why my sister didn't constantly have laundry going and why she had dishes in the dishwasher. Thy Will

I don't question God. I don't question His Faithfulness I don't question His love for me I don't question God. There are times when life is going smoothly and out of no where you are hit with a curve ball that hits you so hard that you feel like you can't breath even if it is just for a second. There are times when we are struck with situations that are out of our control.  And for an analytical, reasoning person such as myself when you are hit with these both at the same time and you feel so confused, and every way you turn and try to reason it there is not a reason or justification. It's simply out of ones control. For some they can keep moving forward and not miss a beat, for some it leaves them lifeless and unable to get out of bed.
